Lovely atmosphere at the reception and wonderful view from the room. Staff is very friendly. However, the buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing and there were no staff to support at all.

Needed a location for small family gathering, this was the only 'decent' place we could find in Ennis. If this is second best reviewed on Tripadvisor in Ennis, it doesn't paint a pretty picture for the standards of hospitality in the town, sorry to say. Rooms are crying out for a make over, everything is worn. Dinner was ok, fish was over-cooked, one dish came missing a main component, but steaks were good. The desserts, I think most were actually homemade, but on this occasion, it wasn't a selling point (as a side note, meringue is not pavlova). Could only stick to continental breakfast myself, as the cooked breakfast did not seem appetising. This notion was bolstered by my family who assured me that it was dry and all items ranged from cool to nearly hot. Staff are lovely for the most part, but a lot of new staff training, which I realise must happen, but most staff proclaiming it's their first day or week (maybe ask them to say they've been transferred from another department?) and managers should ensure they know the basic product they are trying to sell, staff didn't know spirits/wine we were asking for. On check out, the receptionist was monotone and monosyllabic with guests, for my turn, I was told how much I owed...and nothing else. If I was asked how my stay was I would have been honest, but I wasn't, so said I'd use Tripadvisor instead.

Front dest staff was very friendly and informative. We arrived earlier than expected and they allowed us to check in. Offered us suggestions for places to see that were not "tourist sites" but even better! Food was great, rooms comfortable and staff very friendly

From start to finished I couldn't recommend Hotel Woodstock enough! After previously been wedding venue hunting we came across Hotel Woodstock Ennis! Needless to say from the moment we walked in the door Elaine and her team made us feel like family! No ask was to much! Following from this, after booking our wedding here for August 1st 2026. We had to book a night away to test the water. The service and attention to detail was super! From the lovely lady Harriet in reception for looked after every need. Harriet couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful! The room was super clean, everything you need there. The beds were super comfortable! The team at the Woodstock also left a lovely pesonlized note for Nialls birthday upon request and also left a lovely box of chocolates for us both! Such a lovely toch! The bedroom looked over the stunning Woodstock Golf course! Absolutely stunning to wake up to! The food.. Nothing but AMAZING! The feather blade beef was to DIE FOR! anyone staying here definitely try it you wouldn't be disappointed!! A special mention to our server Sadhbh who was absolutely amazing no ask was to little for her! Overall amazing service as always! Can't wait to plan our wedding reception here. Jane and Niall

I really can't say enough good things about our two stays at Woodstock Hotel. The first visit was last-minute after our plans were changed unexpectedly and I found Woodstock on Trip Advisor (and got a good rate as well). We had been staying elsewhere in Ennis but suddenly needed an overnight. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. The folks at the front desk were friendly and warm and we were soon in a lovely room, then off to the restaurant. We were lucky to sneak in just before closing time, but the staff there were happy to help us. And the meal was outstanding! We slept well and went on our way up to Mayo, but when it was time to start heading toward Shannon Airport for our departure home (Vermont, U.S.), we decided to spend another night at Woodstock Hotel, which was again a great choice. Immediately upon arriving, Sinead greeted us warmly and answered every question we had. We wound up once again in the restaurant...irresistible, since the last meal was so good. This time Declan was our waiter and he was funny and friendly, as was Leann, and we again had a brilliant meal. In the morning we went back for the breakfast buffet which was overwhelming with choices and delicious. Honestly, I can't think of a negative here. Great room, very welcoming staff, outstanding meals, reasonable rates and easy access to everything. We will undoubtedly be back, as we're considering moving to Ireland and investigating Ennis as out possible home. Hoping to visit again this autumn. I wish I'd taken photos of the room(s), the grounds and around the building, because it's lovely there.

Absolutely loved our time at Hotel Woodstock. Harriet at the front desk was so sweet and gave us amazing advice to head to the Kilkee Cliffs - they were breathtaking, no roped off areas, free, and no crowd. The rooms were clean, updated, comfortable and we had a lovely view from our window. You feel like you are in the country side, but super close to the fun town of Ennis, the cliffs of Kilkee and Moher with good roads to get to both. We loved our first night’s dinner at Brogan’s that we went back on night two. The hotel also offered complementary charging for electric cars. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel!

We attended a wedding last weekend and the hotel was first class in every department, the wedding facilitation was perfect and well organised. Food was out of this world. A special mention goes out to the owners Sean/Elaine who not only made us all welcome, but looked after us from start to finish. They put on a fantastic wedding event which we will talk about for years to come. If your ever in Ennis please visit the hotel Woodstock you will enter as a guest and leave as a friend.

We arrived back yesterday after a 3 night stay for a friends wedding. This hotel is excellent. the rooms are clean, spacious and we had a lovely view looking out over the golf course. The staff are friendly and polite. Would throughly recommend.
